When it comes to rising healthcare costs, would you say health research is part of the problem or part of the solution?
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? “Even if it brings no immediate benefits, basic scientific research that advances the frontiers of knowledge is necessary and should be supported by the federal government.”
How important is Canada’s health and biosciences sector to the country’s economy?
How important is it for the federal government to support young researchers in training who will become the country’s future scientists and innovators?
So that private interests don’t fund all the research as I fear is happening or close to it
How important is it for the federal government to support Indigenous health research and Indigenous health researchers?
But only with prior informed consent – and Indigenous people should play as big a role as possible
How important is it for Canada to have a National Science Advisor who advises the federal government on science policy?
How important is educating, training and promoting women and minority groups in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) for Canada’s competitiveness and our future economic prosperity?
